New York State Criterium Championship Event! Open to All, Top New York residents will be awarded State Champions in their categories. New Racers! (novice) are encouraged and welcome. Pre-Reg Only! No Day of Registration! Second race for 15.$ Course: 1 mile 8 turn clockwise neighborhood crit course. Slight rise up Old Main Street.
This is an annual family friendly event with one of the longest continually running cyclocross races in the country on the trails of the Swandrome atop Mt. Pleasant. While there are numerous categories based on age, sex, and types of bikes, for some of us the real "feature events" are the little kids races. We have everything from tykes on Strider push-bikes up through real geared bikes with distances appropriate for each group. This race is a reincarnation of the NatiFo Forty race The new race course winds its way through, around, up, down, and across the best trails, cow fields, creeks, mud, forests, dirt, and gravel roads that Hector and the Finger Lakes National Forest have to offer. The KLGC offers three course distances (about 18, 30 and 50 miles) that will feature vistas and vineyards, soul-crushing climbs and gnarly descents. The Butternut Valley Gravel Grinder (formerly New Lisbon Gravel Grinder) is a 10 or 45 mile gravel event near Garrattsville, NY. Not technically a race, but a challenging and adventurous day on the bike. New routes for 2024, but still begins and ends at the Butternuts Brewery.
