Welcome to the Finger Lakes Cycling Club

General FLCC photos

Welcome to the Finger Lakes Cycling Club. The FLCC has been serving the needs of area cyclists since 1971, organizing group rides, races and social events, such as picnics and slow rolls. We advocate for cyclists' rights and educate our membership about safety and our responsibility to follow traffic laws.

The FLCC plans and shares many great routes, which include maps, cuesheets and elevation profiles. You can find just the right route to suit your needs and abilities in our route collection. In 2021, we launched "Bike the Finger Lakes 11" a self-guided challenge, open to anyone, found on the FLCC website under Routes.

The FLCC also maintains a Google Group for communications about rides, events, advocacy, and other news. You can view and join from the Google Group page, found on the FLCC website under Club/FLCC listservs.

You can find a description of the different types of rides we host under the "Rides" menu on this website and details for specific rides on the "Event calendar". We welcome anyone to join one or two of our rides and then consider membership.

Please consider joining the FLCC!

Bike the Finger Lakes 11 Challenge

In 2021, Steve Powell, a professional bicycling tour leader and past FLCC president, created a website for anyone wanting a self-guided challenge to ride around all of the Finger Lakes. On this website, you will find route resources and other information useful to cyclists, in one easy-to-use place, plus a fun way to keep track of everyone's progress during the challenge. Everyone gets a free gift when you register and a free special gift when you complete the challenge, along with being added to the BTFL11 "Kudos List". While we hope this inspires you to get out riding this year, the rides that you completed in past years also count toward the challenge. Join the challenge today and bike around all eleven of the Finger Lakes!
