Saturday Paceline Ride

Community Corners 903 Hanshaw Road, Ithaca, NY

The Saturday Paceline Rides start at 9am at Community Corners in Lansing. The route may change week to week, but is usually between 35-40 miles with an average pace of 18-21 mph. This ride utilizes a paceline, and riders who cannot maintain the speed or keep with the paceline will be dropped. FLCC Social Weekend Rides normally take place Saturday mornings. They are largely targeted to intermediate riders with a pace of 11-13 mph. They’re intended to be social rides providing exercise but also an opportunity to meet other local riders and learn new routes. Women’s Road Ride

East Hill Plaza 327 Pine Tree Road, Ithaca, NY

The Women's Road Ride meets every Wednesday at 6pm. Most rides leave from East Hill Plaza on Pine Tree Rd, although sometimes we start from alternate locations in Brooktondale or Lansing. The group typically splits into at least 3 groups (an A, B, and C group). Each group does a different route and rides at different speeds. We ride different routes each week. For more information about the rides, visit the Women's Ride Info Page. Details about the ride each week, and cancellations, are communicated via the WRR Google Group.

Gravel Ride

FLCC gravel rides focus on fun and adventure, exploring gravel roads and trails around Ithaca. A typical ride splits into two groups, one with a relaxed pace and one with a more moderate pace. Rides are no-drop and start at 6pm, weather-permitting. A typical ride is a loop of about 20 miles with about 2,000 feet of climbing. Early-season rides build up to this, while mid-season rides may be longer when the late sunset allows. Butternut Valley Gravel Grinder

The Butternut Valley Gravel Grinder (formerly New Lisbon Gravel Grinder) is a 10 or 45 mile gravel event near Garrattsville, NY. Not technically a race, but a challenging and adventurous day on the bike. New routes for 2024, but still begins and ends at the Butternuts Brewery. 25th Annual Tour de Shunk

The Tour de Shunk offers challenging and scenic routes on mostly traffic-free roads in Sullivan and Bradford counties in northeast PA, with a wonderful spaghetti dinner included afterward. It has grown over its 25 years to include now three gravel routes, up to 74 miles long - and paved routes of ~25, 50, 75 and 100+ miles.
