From Finger Lakes Randonneurs: The northern loop of the Lansing Auburn Weltonville 200k, RUSA Brevet #3093. Goes past such historical sites as President Millard Filmore's birthplace in Moravia as well as one of the many boyhood homes of John D. Rockefeller Sr., the oil baron. A short trip to the Harriet Tubman National Park and the route will leave Owasco Lake and head south via the Salmon Creek floodplain back to the start. A ride north and west through the Finger Lakes Forest to Geneva and the northernmost point, to the site of Kanadasaga, a former Seneca Indian village. Riding south along the west side of Seneca Lake you will pass through Watkins Glen, then Montour Falls before heading north and east back to Ithaca. Harris Hill is the Soaring Capital of America, famous as a site for glider flights. Proceeding westward the route heads toward Hammondsport where you will pass the Glenn Curtis Museum. Curtis, an early aviation pioneer also made bikes and motorcycles.
