Brevet: Flight of the Finger Lakes 300k

Starting at the Hangar Theater, site of an airport started in 1912, the ride proceeds south to Harris Hill above Elmira. Harris Hill is the Soaring Capital of America, famous as a site for glider flights. Proceeding westward the route heads toward Hammondsport where you will pass the Glenn Curtis Museum. Curtis, an early aviation pioneer also made bikes and motorcycles. Continuing in a northerly direction along the eastern shore of Keuka Lake you will eventually get to the Montezuma Wildlife Refuge, home to a diverse population of birds including herons, bald eagles and osprey among others. Brevet: Around the Finger Lakes 400k

This ride is a clockwise loop around the Finger Lakes of NY, starting in and ending near scenic Ithaca, NY, and bringing the rider within "wheel-dipping distance" to all 11 lakes. The first hilly leg takes you from Ithaca on Cayuga Lake to Watkins Glen and Hammondsport at the south ends of Seneca and Keuka Lakes. The first 50 miles (Ithaca to Hammondsport) are hilly, so don't get discouraged! Brevet: Letchworth-Cayuga 600k

A cloverleaf 600k starting and ending in Penn Yann, NY. This new route weaves it's way between the western Finger Lakes on the way to Letchworth State Park and it's 500 ft deep gorge and some Southern Tier riding before returning to Penn Yan for the overnight. The second day's riding visits Watkins Glen, Ithaca, and the shores of Cayuga and Seneca Lakes on country roads and trails. The Butternut Valley Gravel Grinder (formerly New Lisbon Gravel Grinder) is a 10 or 45 mile gravel event near Garrattsville, NY. Not technically a race, but a challenging and adventurous day on the bike. New routes for 2024, but still begins and ends at the Butternuts Brewery. From Finger Lakes Randonneurs: This is the 2nd day loop of the Letchworth Cayuga 600k but starting/finishing in Ithaca rather than Penn Yan, with a few slight deviations in Ithaca and Geneva. A ride north and west through the Finger Lakes Forest to Geneva and the northernmost point, to the site of Kanadasaga, a former Seneca Indian village. Riding south along the west side of Seneca Lake you will pass through Watkins Glen, then Montour Falls before heading north and east back to Ithaca.
