Brevet: Lansing-Auburn-Weltonville (ACP 200k)

Lansing Ball Fields 38 Auburn Rd, Lansing, NY

From Finger Lakes Randonneurs: This figure-eight route leaves the Lansing ball fields and heads north around Owasco Lake, passing President Millard Filmore's birthplace in Moravia as well as one of the many boyhood homes of John D. Rockefeller Sr. The route will then leave Owasco Lake and head south via the Salmon Creek floodplain back to the start. It will then proceed through Ellis Hollow through Boiceville and up a long climb to South/Honeypot Rd. This is a casual, unofficial, unsanctioned, and unsupported gravel bikepacking ride starting and ending in Stewart Park, Ithaca, NY, homeland of the Gayogohó:no? people. Routes will follow gravel roads as much as possible. FLCC Group Gravel Ride

FLCC gravel rides focus on fun and adventure, exploring gravel roads and trails around Ithaca. A typical ride splits into two groups, one with a relaxed pace and one with a more moderate pace. Rides are no-drop and start at 6pm, weather-permitting. A typical ride is a loop of about 20 miles with about 2,000 feet of climbing. Early-season rides build up to this, while mid-season rides may be longer when the late sunset allows. FLCC Saturday Social Ride

FLCC is organizing social weekend rides from May—September in 2025 that are largely targeted to intermediate riders with a pace of 12—13 mph. They’re intended to be moderately-paced rides providing exercise, but also an opportunity to meet other local riders and learn new routes. Rides will be 25—35 miles in length and get longer throughout the season. Riders should bring water and helmets, have bikes in good mechanical condition, and be comfortable with group rides on local roads. FLCC Women’s Road Ride

East Hill Plaza 327 Pine Tree Road, Ithaca, NY

The Women’s Road Ride meets every Wednesday at 6pm, May 14 — September 17. Most rides leave from the East Hill Plaza parking lot on Pine Tree Rd, although sometimes we start from alternate locations in Brooktondale or Lansing. The group typically splits into at least 3 groups (an A, B, and C group). Each group does a different route and rides at different speeds. We ride different routes each week. For more information about the rides, visit the Women’s Ride Info Page. Routes, weather cancellations, and more are communicated on the WRR Google Group.

Brevet: Flight in the Finger Lakes (ACP 300k)

Hangar Theatre 801 Taughannock Blvd, Ithaca, NY

From Finger Lakes Randonneurs: Starting at the Hangar Theater, site of an airport started in 1912, the ride proceeds south to Harris Hill above Elmira. Harris Hill is the Soaring Capital of America, famous as a site for glider flights. Proceeding westward the route heads toward Hammondsport where you will pass the Glenn Curtis Museum. Curtis, an early aviation pioneer also made bikes and motorcycles. Continuing in a northerly direction along the eastern shore of Keuka Lake you will eventually get to the Montezuma Wildlife Refuge, home to a diverse population of birds including herons, bald eagles and osprey among […]

From Finger Lakes Randonneurs: This is the 2nd day loop of the Letchworth Cayuga 600k but starting/finishing in Ithaca rather than Penn Yan, with a few slight deviations in Ithaca and Geneva. A ride north and west through the Finger Lakes Forest to Geneva and the northernmost point, to the site of Kanadasaga, a former Seneca Indian village. Riding south along the west side of Seneca Lake you will pass through Watkins Glen, then Montour Falls before heading north and east back to Ithaca. The Hollenbeck's Spring Classic Road Race is back for its 44th year! Likely the longest-running road race in New York State. 22 mile and 44 mile options available — one or two laps.
