Swandrome Cyclocross Race
Coordinator: Glenn Swan
The Swandrome Cross race is quite possibly the longest continuously running cyclocross race in the US. It is usually one of the earliest races on the NYS schedule, happening in mid-September. The focus is on fun and sociability, with entry fees being used primarily for food and drink for all racers and spectators, and few, if any cash awards for race placing. Open Men’s and Women’s events, along with Junior and Masters categories race a full groomed course with natural and man-made features. For many, the feature events are the free Kids and Little Kids events which utilize parts of the adult course, all within sight of cheering spectators.
