The Hollenbeck Spring Classic race was held, as always, on the first Sunday of May, May 3. The race course is a 22 mile circuit with two major climbs and a total of 1200 feet of climbing. All categories, including citizens, are run. The race is either one or two circuits of the course depending on the rider’s category. The staging area is at Hollenbeck’s Cider Mill in Virgil, about 25 minutes east of Ithaca. In the spirit of racing for the simple enjoyment of the sport, the prize list and entry fees are kept to an absolute minimum.
